In addition to the weekly ensemble rehearsals, DYJA is pleased to offer a structured teaching programme for students of all abilities. Our tuition and lessons are delivered by professional teachers on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, jazz piano, piano, electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums.
Lessons from our teachers are tailored to the individual requirements of the student with a focus not only on progression, but also on developing techniques and building instrumental expertise and musicality.
This is especially focused for those preparing for Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music Examinations (ABRSM) who may need 1 to 1 tuition.
Ensemble workshops and improvisation (if students choose to follow this route) is also an important part of DYJA’s approach to music education with weekend school holiday projects directed by the in-house team of Dennis Rollins, Ian West, Mark Ellis, Gareth Smith and Cat Miles and distinguished guest.
If you are interested in finding out more about our tuition, costs and structured teaching programme as well as how to get involved we would love to hear from you.

We look forward to hearing from you.
“We are fortunate to have caring teachers who are willing to give of their time and expertise for the further advancement of individual instrumentalists and to the Association as a whole.”
