The Northern Jazz Centre (formally Beckett Road Primary School) now exists and the future looks promising. The rapid transformation of this one hundred year old place of learning has been quite extraordinary and is here for all to see. This feeling of community spirit and common purpose, combined with the shared vision, enthusiasm and generosity of so many, has far exceeded the primary objective of making music. With everything now under one roof we have the scope to expand existing activities and develop new initiatives, thus creating greater opportunities for the young musicians of our region.

It is indeed the spirit of community and working together which embodies the Association's aims. In addition to an ever growing membership of hard-working young people, we have a dedicated and determined team of voluntary supporters and teachers behind the scenes. With continued recognition, guidance and practical support from the DMBC and the Directorate of Education & Culture, we shall establish a 'Centre of Excellence' of national importance here in Doncaster.
